Be Prepared!
Scouts in Troop 226 meet at weekly meetings and there are plenty of opportunities to participate in monthly camping trips or activities.
The Troop currently has three Patrols: Headless Nuggets (9 Scouts), Lumberjacks (10 Scouts), and Space Pirates (10 Scouts).
Why Join Scouting?
Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Scouting’s programs and outdoor adventures give young people the opportunity and freedom to explore a world beyond the boundaries of everyday life. It presents them with chances to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence and develop leadership skills. These experiences not only help Scouts while they are young, but also stay with them throughout their adult lives, growing into exceptional men and women that respect their family, community, religion, country and themselves.
With parent’s and kid’s schedules growing busier every day, Scouting makes the most of what little time parents have to positively impact their kids’ lives.
